You can never have enough tack photos. Right? Right. I took a bunch of Akhal-Teke tack. I’m not sure when, or if, I’ll make some, but at least I’ve got the reference photos!

Akhal-Tekes
I love Breyerfest because the event also brings in real horses. You have a great opportunity to encounter a wide variety of high caliber horses. Especially when the owners and handlers are so open to sharing their horses with the public. I was excited when it was announced that Akhal-Tekes would be attending. The Kentucky Horse Park does have an a Akhal-Teke, but I was excited to see more examples of the breed.
Breyerfest Children and Youth Show
Saturday morning was the Breyerfest Children and Youth Show. It’s the biggest model horse show for kids with two different age divisions.
I stewarded under Jackie A Rossi in performance. She cosplayed as Link from Legend of Zelda.

Friday morning, we stopped at the Breyerfest Live. I stayed at the performance end since those are my favorite classes.
Afterwards, I took the elevator down to teach a Breyerfest workshop! It was a leather halter making workshop. I don’t have pictures of it because I was so nervous. It’s funny because I’ve taught classes in person before but they were about publishing. Any hobby workshop I did had been prerecorded or done virtually, so doing it in person was new. I enjoyed it and it was nice to meet so many hobbyists. Afterwards I watched some of the arena acts. Here’s a horse and rider from the arena show.
At night, it was time for more shopping and catching up with friends.
