It’s the beginning of March! We’re so close to spring, flowers, and new growth.
But February!
Seeing Stevie Nicks live definitely hits at the top of my highlights. In October I decided to go since Baltimore isn’t far from Harrisburg. When I rolled up to the area I sent off an alive check to my family to show I’d made it. If you’ve traveled with me you know I was born with no internal navigation ability haha. Thank god for the invention of GPS.

I had a good seat and the concert was amazing. She sang many of my favorites. I always loved “Landslide” but as I get older its meaning continues to evolve.
A few weeks ago it was announced that Stevie Nicks would be playing a June show in Hershey (which is 15 minutes from me) so I snagged tickets there!

Next, I finished painting a book spine. The author of that one along with the previous one I’d finished had February signings. The spines were *officially* unveiled to the authors. I love meeting authors and doing anything book related. This wasn’t my first time meeting Xio Axelrod but it was my first time meeting Lindsay Hameroff.

I love getting my books personalized. February could be summed up work-wise as how many times can we kick Kristian in the knees before she realizes she is the absolute worst? Truly the boring, no-sugar twin to how many licks is it to get to the center of a Tootsie pop? Painting the spines and seeing how much it meant to the authors was enough to snap me out of listening to ✨trash✨.

This blog has always been a model horse one, so here are the updates.
This pony saddle is nearly finished. I used the saddle tree I’d made and casted. I’m in love with it along with the Astrid mold!

I’m painting a portrait for a friend. I feel like the 100th third time’s the charm. I’m hand painting him with gouache instead of pastels or airbrush. So far it’s working out.

Your saddles are just amazing! They look “real”!!
