Etsy Shop

I made an Etsy for Five Paws Studio!
Here’s the link for it

I love Etsy and have been a consumer of both model horse and book related products. I finally broke down and made one for Five Paws Studio. It’ll make the business side of model horse tack selling much easier which will allow me to focus on making things. The least fun part of tack making is shipping and figuring out the best way that benefits the buyer. This will take away that stress. Hopefully. 😀
I’m currently stocking it with some left over nameplate halters from Breyerfest. After that I’ll keep it stocked (anyone have any suggestions for what they’d like to see?).

When I add anything new I’ll make sure to make an announcement here first, so don’t worry about not knowing about new items.

Best Saddle

It’s Breyerfest week! I’ve been making tack for the NoNANSense demo, but decided to make a saddle. I’m glad I did because this is the best English saddle I’ve made. The part of the saddle that I struggle the most with is the tree and pommel. I ‘m really happy with how it came out. Pattern wise and dye job too.

I’m also pretty happy with the underside too. I’ll have an English saddle now that I don’t have any issues displaying lol.

Pile of Halters

Breyerfest is so close and I feel like I still have so much to do.
The one thing I feel pretty good about is in the tack department. I will be at NoNANSense as one of the hobby demo people so I need to have stuff prepared. I figured with the time slot, halters were the way to go. I think they’re one of the easiest pieces of tack to make.  At the moment I have fifteen. Hopefully I will get up to a higher number. There’s an array of halters in the pile. Some have fun colored lace, others have padding, and a small few have nameplates on them.

My goal is for all of them to have nameplates. But some will be getting them during NoNANSense.  I plan on adding nameplates during my demo, so if you’re going to be coming to NoNANSense I will be presenting at 1 pm. The majority of the halters are being made to fit the celebration horse mold. I think they’ll look nice on him. 🙂

End of School

The last class of the semester was on Friday. I have two finals next week, but I’m pretty much done for the year. Which means I can have more time to hang at the barn!
So I spent Friday and Saturday at the barn.  Traveler is the Appaloosa and my favorite horse at the barn.

So I rode him on Saturday and Riley was around to take some pictures.
Afterwards I took pictures.
On the model horse front, I finished an english hackamore. It’s the first one I’ve tried to do, and it was finished earlier in the month. I just finally got pictures of it on a model!
