Finally A Lil' Headway

So today I began another Arabian Horse costume. This is where I got with it. Most of the day was spent trying to edit my NaNoWrimo Novel, so the Arabian costume didn’t get alot of attention. But so far I really like it! I got the saddle tree right. The only part I’m dreading now is making a ton of tassels…but hey…you’ve gotta make it right.

The Forgotten Photos

While going through some photos, I found a couple Arabian costume pictures from Breyerfest 2010. They aren’t the best photos ever, but they’re still good reference.

I continued scrolling through the pictures. This was my very first time I got a rosette at Breyerfest!

It was also the very first time one of my customs placed well. This is the original Buckbeak. Since this one, there have been three.

The last one I made, won a reserve Champion at Breyerfest. He also lost a battle to my cat, and currently doesn’t have any claws.

Racing Saddle

Today I made a racing saddle. It’s probably the fastest I’ve ever made a saddle before, and I used the pattern from Model Horse Performance. Can’t say the saddle is all too great, but I’m pretty happy with the very first attempt.

Sorry about the bad picture…seems that the saddle has now disappeared. I’m pretty sure that I can blame it on a certain four legged furry friend… :)
