This is what I have been working on the past couple of days.
It’s my first ever commission! Since it is my first and I want to make it look nice, the bridle has been fighting me tooth and nail the whole time.
Here are the laced reins, which I just realized are going the wrong way. Oh bridle, we’re so close to being done, yet we’re still so far. :)
While these two items have been done since Saturday (finished both Friday night), they haven’t been shown on the blog *officially*.
These are the two items.
My Yvonne doll was made by Zica toys. I bought her during breyerfest and was too afraid to dress her. Last week I decided I no longer wanted her to be naked, so she was dressed as an english rider with the boots also being made by me. I need to fix her hair and make her helmet more realistic, but she is pretty much done. The reason why I love this doll is because she can move and keep her position so easily. I highly recommend her when you can find her!
Plus she can stand all by herself!
This is the second English saddle I’ve made using a new pattern.
The lovely saddle fits in its rider’s hands.
Making the pack set was much easier than being able to find info about tying things to it.

Anyways, here it is. On my wonderful performance pony. Plus, another set finished for Sat. Not too many more to finish now. :)
The fur was made from the faux fur that you can buy at craft stores. Using my xacto knife, I cut the shapes out. The exacto knife works better than scissors because scissors cut the fur on top. The exacto knife only cuts through the mat on the bottom.

The English Saddle Set is done and ready for the show on Sat! Nothing like cutting it close.
Just noticed that a part of the girth needs to be resewn. But it’s still pretty much done!
