Draft Horse Halter Class

Whenever January comes around, the first thing that comes to my mind is the Annual Pennsylvania Farm Show. This is the show’s 98th year and is the largest agricultural event in the United States. Along with horses it hosts cattle, rabbits, chickens, and every other type of animal that may be on a farm. Plus there is a food court to die for. I’ve been going to it since I was small.

While the actual show doesn’t start until tomorrow, the food court opened today. The Farm Show is well known for the vanilla and chocolate milkshakes and cheese cubes.
After eating, I got to sit and watch some of the Belgian, Clydesdale, and Percheron halter classes.
Now, the breeds were separated and the pairs class was separated also.
The horses were lined up,
walked out, and then squared up for the judge,
and then were trotted forward and back in a line, before returning to the others.

The Trip

The trip was alot of fun! My mom, sister, aunt and cousin went. For the cruise, we went to Belize, Cozumel, and Costa Maya. And there was a celeb guest on it. Stevie Wonder! Sadly I had already gone back to the room, and by the time I made it to the place where Stevie Wonder was, he had already been ushered away…so my sister was the only one in my family to see him. My sister and I did go horseback riding in Belize. Instead of western saddles, I rode in a Mexican type saddle and my sister rode in an Australian Saddle.Sadly I can’t seem to locate those pictures.
Then we stayed a week in Orlando and went to Universal. There were soooo many cool things to see at Universal and Island of Adventure…so be ready for a photo overload!

M.I.A

Sorry about being M.I.A recently!
But I’m done with school for the year. The last couple of weeks have been hectic with getting homework done and studying for finals. But it’s done and finished.
So now I have the summer to look forward to making, and enjoying model horse stuff.

But alas, I am about to leave you all again! I’ll be on a cruise for a week and a week in Orlando. Generally they look down upon you heaving a load of drills, knives, and other dangerous tools, so no models for a week. Also, since I’ll be in the middle of the ocean, there will not be any new blog posts for seven days. The fish are not swimming wifi. Then, afterwards, I’m staying in Orlando, so I’ll still be apart from the studio and model horses. But we’re going to Universal Studios, which is home to the Harry Potter world! Yay!
Since summer’s close for anyone who’s in school, good luck with finals if you have them. And for everyone else, have fun!
