Model Horse Performance!

After hearing alot of praises about the Model Horse Performance magazine, I got a subscription to it! And it came today.

I have to say, that all of the praises were right! This is a really cool magazine and I can’t wait to get more  There’s also  a side saddle how-to plus a halter tutorial, so I can’t wait to try those out.
After the cancellation of JAH, it’s cool to have a model horse magazine again.

Show Report- OF Performance

On Saturday I went to the Ride for Pride 17th Annual Model Horse Show in Leesport, PA. Here’s the pictures I took of the OF performance! This was my first live show, being in the open division, since phasing out of the Novice/Youth Part. Going here made me realize I need to up my efforts all around!
It started with other performance.

Here’s my Endurance Set up. It won third.
 This model won the class.

There were a couple classes, but alas I didn’t get a picture of it. Here’s the Costume Contest. There was a ton of really great costumes!

My two entries

 Grooming and Showmanship

English Hunter/Jumper Class

I seems that I did not take any pictures of the western division. Expect some more posts from the halter and resin/custom division!

It Is Finished

It Is Finished (said in Aslan voice). I have completed all of my summer homework. Just finished the Pre-Cal packet (don’t you love summer aka school huge packet homework time?).
Which means…….my Native American Doll can be finished! His name is Chogan which means Black Bird in Cree. For anyone who says that model horses don’t teach anything, they sure teach how to research!
Here’s Chogan taped up and ready to paint.

First coat on his face,

Arms and face done,
New hair added ( I really need to get better at making things in a better order!)

Then he got new eyes. Creepy, huh?

All finished and ready to ride!!
