Camera: Kristian, Yes

Today while my mom and I were running erands, we passed RadioShack.
Mom: RadioShack is going out of business, we should stop there.
Me: Yeah, we should.
After stopping at a couple of stores, we were going to pass RadioShack again.
Mom: We should stop at RadioShack
Me: *nods head because new craft things were more interesting*
We stopped at RadioShack, and I found these. I kept telling myself no, but eventually decided not to pass up a good deal and came home with this.

I played around with the lens when I got home. Here are some of my favorite shots.

CATRA Volunteering Day

Close to the beginning of the spring semester, I was walking around and saw this flyer about an equestrian club team. Of course I joined! :)

Today I went with part of the group to CATRA, which is a therapeutic riding center near-ish to me.
The group of us groomed the horses.

Then we helped with the lessons. I was a side walker who helped with balance and talking.  It was alot of fun.

Now, there was also an assortment of other animals on top of horses.

Including this nearly 40 year old pony!
There were horses of all sizes.
From Miniatures

to horse-sized.

This *jokingly* was my favorite horse. Could hold five riders with no problem.
In all, today was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to do more like it. :)

Adventure In Paper-ville

Today my Mom woke me up and excitedly said I was in the local paper. Then she told me it was for Girl Scouts. On my way to school I stopped at my nearby Sheetz and grabbed a copy!
Here’s the article clip. It’s about by Girl Scout Gold Award and what I’d done to earn it.
The Gold Award for Girl Scouts is the highest award that a girl can obtain. There are three of them: bronze, silver, and gold.
I earned my bronze award first,
and then Silver award. Each award had a set of criteria and were separate projects.
I ran the Tween book club during the summer, two times a week. I’m still running it, but it’s once a month now. I love books, so trying to pass on the fun of reading was the goal of the club. We discussed the books and did a related craft to the book and overall, it was a lot of fun. The club was a mix of books, from The Outsiders to Percy Jackson to Moon Over Manifest. There was one horse focused book on the list. Misty of Chincoteague.  Today was a great day! :)
Cool copy I found with a rough-ish cover. It was a large paperback too.

Riding

I went riding yesterday.

It’d been a while (August), so I knew waking up today that I’d feel it. The arena was dark, so the pictures came out a bit blurry. But it was fun riding Charm!

There was a very talkative but sweet barn cat. She was so tiny compared to my cats. :)
And then I took artsy pictures of one of the other barn horses, who’s an appaloosa.
