Drafty Trot

I finished my *gag* paper and felt up to doing model horse-y things again.
Even though I didn’t show at NAN this year, it was right in my backyard. Peter stone was selling bodies/seconds, so one of the three models I bought was a draft horse.

I decided to make the draft guy a little looser. I chopped off his ears,

Tail,

and the bobs.

Next I added a piece of wire into the butt and secured it with super glue and backing soda.

Originally I was going to sculpt the tail tonight, but I decided to resculpt the muzzle instead.
I used my dremel and carved some of the muzzle.

Then I took it a step farther and resculpted alot of it.

The bottom lip and part of the top lip were partially resculpted.

Parts still need further detail added, but I will do that after the apoxie has hardened.

Cuteness and Hackness

Pretty sure hackness is not a word, but that’s ok. The title of this post flows. All is good. Plus, I do not consider a day over until I go to sleep. Currently it’s going on 2 A.M. But it still isn’t a new day to me! Not until I go to sleep. :)
Anyways, today my mom, sister’s friend’s mom and I, went to my mom’s friend’s house and guess what were there? Kittens. Six, fat, wriggly, high pitched meowing three week old kittens.

Sooo cute and soft

After coming home, I did not feel like prepping, so what do I do? Start on another custom.
Today’s victim was an old safari horse, that I’ve had for forever. I envisioned him to have a lowered neck, and to be more performance friendly.

Headless.
I accidentally got a little crazy with the dremel and the poor horse has lost a nice portion of his mouth. The neck needs some more work, but slow and steady wins the race!

Horse of many colors

Since the little pony just needs to be prepped, I decided to bring out a horse that has changed colors since the first time you ever saw him.

Here’s a walk down memory lane of everything that’s been done to this poor model.

Well today I gave him a new mane. I also hacked off his ears. Hopefully this will be his final change! (It probably will be. I hate trying to take off manes, I’ve sculpted. :) )
Sorry about the bad quality. Cell phone picture.
