Ripping It Apart

I tore apart a saddle today. I’m still working out the why today part of it. When I first made the saddle, I was really really happy with it. The more I’ve looked at it recently, the more I didn’t like it. It ended up in the bottom of the scary pale of scary started projects even though it was finished. Not today. It was fun, ripping it apart.

I kind of liked it here, minus the remnants from the already pulled parts. Very saddle-y. I tried new things with this saddle, so it was a fun learning experience.

But now I have the tree pieces. I haven’t decided what the new saddle will look like, but the tree is ready whenever inspiration hits.

New Tools

Some of my tools look like they’ve been through a war. A lot of times the tools just aren’t pretty but work. This one, plus the others from the pack have expired. This one came in a set of three that were mini.
My sister said she also wanted new tools so she could start making jewelry again. We drove to Michaels and we both came home with our own set. She bought a different one. This is mine. I picked it because the tools were my favorite color. Purple.

It also has storage compartments on the other side. So organization! Even though I haven’t figured out what should go there…..but progress….
