New Idea

A local church in my area had a book sale today.
Two of the books were horse related. This is my favorite one.

While the book is not cut-able,because the breed descriptions takes up two pages,
it does make up in the content.
I really want to try out one of these or a couple of these forms of police tack one day. It has great close up pictures with descriptions about the actual tack that is used. When looking for references, I can not stress enough how great having books for multiple purposes is. Sure, you may be able to find it on the internet, but books are nice to hold and will forever be different from the internet. So this was a great find for today!

New Saddle, New Doll

While these two items have been done since Saturday (finished both Friday night), they haven’t been shown on the blog *officially*.
These are the two items.

My Yvonne doll was made by Zica toys. I bought her during breyerfest and was too afraid to dress her. Last week I decided I no longer wanted her to be naked, so she was dressed as an english rider with the boots also being made by me. I need to fix her hair and make her helmet more realistic, but she is pretty much done. The reason why I love this doll is because she can move and keep her position so easily. I highly recommend her when you can find her!

Plus she can stand all by herself!

This is the second English saddle I’ve made using a new pattern.

The lovely saddle fits in its rider’s hands.
