Mini Whinnies+ Giant Resin=A Goofy Time

Lizzie and I have been trying to meet up for a bit and today our schedules finally matched. Between classes I headed over to her house. :)
I loved her new donkey foal,

and her always pretty Zebra mare.

New custom Lizzie recently finished.

For performance, I like to use similar sized models so that tack can fit a range of models. Lizzie does no such thing.
She used Peter Stone Ponies for a period,
but recently got this guy. He’s a Gawyn resin and is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum of size.
He’s a big boy but I love the details on him.
The meeting turned goofy and Gawyn ended up with mini whinnies on him.
How many mini whinnies can a drafter hold? Plenty.
This was a fun meetup!

Adventure In Paper-ville

Today my Mom woke me up and excitedly said I was in the local paper. Then she told me it was for Girl Scouts. On my way to school I stopped at my nearby Sheetz and grabbed a copy!
Here’s the article clip. It’s about by Girl Scout Gold Award and what I’d done to earn it.
The Gold Award for Girl Scouts is the highest award that a girl can obtain. There are three of them: bronze, silver, and gold.
I earned my bronze award first,
and then Silver award. Each award had a set of criteria and were separate projects.
I ran the Tween book club during the summer, two times a week. I’m still running it, but it’s once a month now. I love books, so trying to pass on the fun of reading was the goal of the club. We discussed the books and did a related craft to the book and overall, it was a lot of fun. The club was a mix of books, from The Outsiders to Percy Jackson to Moon Over Manifest. There was one horse focused book on the list. Misty of Chincoteague.  Today was a great day! :)
Cool copy I found with a rough-ish cover. It was a large paperback too.
