This week, the famous Budweiser Clydesdales were near me. I drove down to Flinchbaugh’s Orchard and Farm Market to see them. I’d gone there in 2020 with my family, including Jax.

The horses were stabled, featuring each of their names.

I know the most basic, surface-level amount about the horses so I enjoyed reading bits about them. I also didn’t realize they were all geldings.

The last month in Pennsylvania has been hot. I’ve floated in the pool a lot during the day while reading.

Fans pushed enough air that the heat wasn’t so thick. I noticed an empty stall and saw one of the geldings getting shod.

Look at those dapples!

I enjoyed seeing these famous horses. Before leaving, I had to pose next to the giant still one.

Once I was in my car, I googled nearby bookstores and realized a recently discovered one was near me. Story Keeper is not only an indie bookstore, but also a yarn shop.

I liked the layout and curated new and used selections.

If you’re looking for yarn or your next read and find yourself in Marietta, stop by!
