Artist Dog

For Christmas, I decided Jax should do a craft. I’ve wanted him to paint a picture for a bit, and since I had time off it seemed like the perfect time.

I already had a small canvas for him since I own canvases of every size. I made a basic stencil and pasted it to the canvas.

I slathered peanut butter onto the outside of a ziplock baggie. I added paint to the canvas and let Jax have at it.

Jax loves peanut butter. He’d do his whole library of tricks and invent new ones to get it. So it didn’t shock me that I had to clip the bag down so the whole room didn’t become peanut buttered.

After the peanut butter was gone, I carefully cut the ziplock baggie so that I didn’t mess up the Jax’s artwork.

Jax is an exuberant licker when it comes to peanut butter so paint did get underneath the stencil some. But it’s still adorable.

Good job Jax!

Love to see how people engaged their dogs this holiday season. This is by far one of the most creative ways! Lol
