The Loot and New Project

Another part of showing that I love is shopping.
I brought home a ton of very cool things.
I bought this wonder saddle set. This is my 2nd piece of tack that I own that was made by someone else (minus breyer). I have no idea who made it, forgot to ask, so if someone knows, please comment! It’s pebbled sized, so I don’t have a model to try it on. (Anyone want to do a trade for a pebble arab?)

I also bought a harness and cart, stablemate sized.  Just have to fix a couple of things.

Traditional sized draft cart.

The wheel just needs fixed. This is one of my favorite parts about model horses. I love Do-It-Yourself fixer upper projects. It’s another way to do performance showing. If you don’t want to dish out tons of cash, look out for projects that can be turned around and made into something showable.

I also bought a couple of models.
Foxhound, fox and hunter set,

and some bodies.

My mom won this in the silent auction. It’s so pretty, the picture doesn’t do it justice.

The new project is the mini horse.

I wanted a more tack friendly model that was more on the bit. So I marked him up,

Chopped,
Heated and moved.
Filling and make ears is the next part!

Berks Saddle-ites 5th Annual Model Horse Show: Collector's Class

There was a large collector’s class at the show, ranging from Nostalgic entries

My entry. Ended up with 2nd! (Newest book is The Pictural Life Of Misty which was a Christmas gift)

 to very colorful ones.

The rule for the collector class was that there needed to be at least 5 models with a theme. The nice part about the class is that they can be basic

or elaborate.

Collector classes can be based on a certain mold,

Or be from your favorite childhood books.
My other entry. Ended up with 7th I think. I forgot poor Phantom Wings at home)

Goodness, I took a ton of pictures. Over 200 to be exact. :)

Berks Saddle-ites 5th Annual Model Horse Show: OF English Performance

The English portion began with Dressage.

Next came English Event.
I had a foxhunting scene. The Fault In Our Stars brought me my first ever Blue ribbon in an Open Performance class!
Jumping/ Cross Country had a bunch of really nice jumps and setups. From this show I have learned that I need to clean out my trunk of horrors. Could not find my red and white flag and made do with pole bending poles with a triangle cut out for each side!

Yay, The Fault In Our Stars!

Next was trail, with the Fault In Our Stars again. With some help, I learned that cantering over poles does not have the same sequence as trotting. (2 legs between poles for cantering) She brought a second place. Yay!

I seemed to have missed the rest of the models for trail and completely missed Pleasure, but tomorrow is western!
